This site began as my personal journal of artistic endeavours, but has evolved into a place to showcase some of the many creative Canadian women who inspire me. Women who make things with paint, fabric, metal, food, words, and more. Some are just starting out, some are more established, some you’ve heard of…. they all have a passion to create, and I love learning their stories. I know you will enjoy meeting them, and hope you will be inspired by them, too!
I’ve been creating and living in Canada all my life. I paint with acrylic and watercolour, take photographs, knit, and dabble in a lot of other arts and crafts. I’m fascinated by genealogy and researching my Celtic ancestry. I’m inspired by striking colour combinations, urban living, mid-century style, new pencils and old sketchbooks.
If you know of a Creative Canadian Woman that you think should be featured on Pennello Lane, email me and let me know! I can’t promise to interview everyone, but I’m always on the lookout for artists and I’d love to hear about them.
